This page used to be dedicated to what was previously missing in the Tomb Raider series in terms of
features etc, but is now for opinions by Aisling, friends or myself on all things Tomb Raider.
This is the latest instalment (or the 6th game) in the excellent series of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider games from Core Design. Alas this game's release date has been changed and has been put back more times than I've had hot dinners (well not really, but you get the idea).
The way I deal with this drastic news is by thinking of it like this; the longer Eidos keep the game off the shop shelves, the better the end product will be when it does come out to buy!
This game promises to bring a new era of gaming to the Tomb Raider series. Instead of having one active character like in the previous games, we now meet the character Kurtis Trent (sounds to me like a bad hollywood action star). Personally I'm a little dubious about having a second playable character but at least he will bring in a new element for the many female fans who play the game. Also, Lara herself has undergone some changes for this new adventure, she's now darker, faster, fitter and thinner.
The story-line of Angel of Darkness, picks up where The Last Revelation left off - with Lara recovering in Egypt after her Houdini type escape from the Great Pyramid. She then travels to Paris where our darling heroine gets framed for the murder of her former mentor, Werner Von Croy and she goes on the lamb from the law (sounds a bit like a western...minus the stand-offs and dust). Anywoo, Lara then has a run-in with an evil, sinister race known as the Nephilim while she searches for the real murderer.
