Dear Diary,
Thanks to my podiatrist, I have become a real fashion plate. The
shoes that he recommended I buy (and actually wear) to help relieve
my foot pain have turned me into the epitome of glamour. And to
think that he thought I wouldn’t want to be seen wearing them! He
told me, “Now you’re going to hate this, but you can’t go barefoot
anymore. So when you’re home where no one can see you, wear your
running shoes.” Only wear those gorgeous shoes at home where no one
can see them? “Now doctor, what were you thinking?”
After all, there is something about running shoes that just livens up
an outfit! I feel so fashionable that I’ll soon be strolling down the
runways of New York’s and Paris’ top fashion houses. I’ll even be the
poster person for an entire line of podiatrist recommended shoes that
are suitable for any occasion. Our motto will be, “Not only do they
look good, but they’re good for you too.” Or, “They are SO DARN GOOD
LOOKING, you’ll NEVER want to take them off.”
Just think of it, no more podiatrist’s laments of “Women wear BAD
shoes.” Everyone will be jealous of me as I go styling down the
street in my formal clothes and fashion coordinated running shoes.
I’ll have elegance and comfort all in one package. Now what more
could a person want?
