grn_goblin1313@yahoo.com now I am the co-owner of C&C Transport out of Mt. Airy NC
hobby = trucking, collecting junk, golfing

story = Well, I had alot of funny things happen while I worked for Matlack. I guess the most enjoyment I had was going to M-015 Charlotte NC term. I had to have my truck's exhaust repaired somewhere other tham a Matlack mantainence facility. They put on a chrome pipe and a loud muffler. Kind of silly really but I was the only driver I know of that had these things and it drove the shop guys in Charlotte insane. They kept trying to get me in there for a PM but I always avoided them. I knew they wanted to rip them off but I kept it that way until the day I left.

I left Matlack when I found out M-083(Greensboro NC) and M-015(Charlotte NC) were merging and both term. managers were being "replaced". I drove for a couple of other companies before starting my own. I miss driving for Matlack and alot of the people I got aquainted with along the way. I still keep in touch with a few of them. I even see some of the old equipment on the road every so often and wonder if the trucks are still as slow as they were!
